Step 10 · Test the System

Once the backfilling is complete and the discharge is connected, test the system. Pour water into the beginning of the French drain (or into a designated inlet if you created one). Observe if water flows freely through the pipe and discharges effectively at the end. Check for any areas where water might be pooling or not draining as expected.
